EMME Online eTwinning Conference – Sharing Digital Innovation Across Europe

On 30 September 2025, the EMME partnership held its official eTwinning online conference, a key milestone of Work Package 3: #EMME Goes Digital. The event gathered teachers, students, experts and project partners from Romania, Portugal, Slovakia and Croatia to explore the digital dimension of the EMME initiative.
The conference focused on the launch of the #EMME Mobile App, an innovative educational tool developed by the consortium to make geoscience and sustainability learning more interactive. Participants were introduced to the app’s structure, features, pedagogical integration and visual interface through a live demo and screenshots session.

The programme also included:
✔ an overview of the EMME project and WP3 objectives;
✔ partners’ testimonials and their experiences integrating the app in the classroom;
✔ an interactive Kahoot quiz “Explore the Memory of the Earth”;
✔ information regarding certificates and the evaluation process.
With representatives from Liceul Teoretic “Avram Iancu” Brad (RO), Universitatea din București – Geoparcul UNESCO Țara Hațegului (RO), Escola Secundária Jerónimo Emiliano de Andrade (PT), Geoparque Açores (PT), ZŠ Hutnícka 16, Spišská Nová Ves (SK) and Osnovna škola Pantovčak (HR), the conference highlighted the strong European cooperation behind the project.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, where participants shared insights on using digital tools to enhance geoscience education.

This eTwinning conference marked an essential step toward strengthening the project’s digital outputs and preparing educators for the full integration of the #EMME Mobile App in classrooms across Europe.
