ABOUT THE PROJECT
When Nature Becomes the Teacher and the Earth’s Memory Finds its voice
EMME is more than just a European project. It’s an invitation to look at the world differently — to listen to what stones, mountains, oceans, and landscapes shaped by time are trying to tell us. It’s a way of learning with curiosity and care, of understanding the geological past of our planet and our responsibility to protect it.
Together with partners from Portugal, Slovakia, Croatia, and Romania, our school has embarked on an inspiring educational journey in collaboration with two UNESCO Global Geoparks — Țara Hațegului and the Azores Archipelago. We’ve built a network of hands-on learning, scientific exploration, and meaningful values.
We designed an innovative curriculum: Memory of the Earth
We developed a mobile app that turns learning into an interactive adventure
We created video documentaries right in the heart of the Geoparks
We trained students and teachers to look at nature, science, and the planet through new eyes
EMME is about memory
but not one locked away in textbooks. It’s the living memory of the Earth, made accessible and engaging for new generations. It’s about connecting education with action, about becoming more aware, more involved, and more attuned to the world around us.
We invite you to explore our stories, our resources, and everything we’ve discovered through this project that has reshaped the way we teach and learn. Because when nature tells a story, it’s impossible not to listen.
